Miss Jillian is originally from NYC and began her journey in dance & performing arts at the age of 7. She danced competitively throughout her childhood and teen years. She has been the recipient of a variety of awards during her tenure as a competitive dancer. In addition to dance, Miss Jillian has also been singing and songwriting since she was 12 years of age. With her passion for music, she went on to audition for American Idol and The Voice. She also took part in several large scale talent shows throughout Pennsylvania where she won first and second place.
As a young adult, Miss Jillian majored in dance at Cedar Crest College and obtained a degree in Business Management and Administration. She continued to develop songs and network throughout PA, NJ, and NY where landed several opportunities. She has opened for a number of celebrities such as, Fat Joe, Pnb Rock, Justina Valentine, Allure, Fred The Godson, to name a few. Miss Jillian has released a number of music projects and plans to continue to make music in the near future.
Due to her ability to network, Miss Jillian was presented with the opportunity to write for many prominent publications such as Hype Magazine, Hip Hop Since 1987, Hip Hop Weekly, and Boom Bap Nation. Subsequently, she was named “Journalist of the Year” in NYC. As she continued to climb the ladder as a journalist within the entertainment business, Miss Jillian made the decision to create a boutique music website geared toward independent artists called SoundKonnect.
With passion, dedication, and a business mindset, Miss Jillian has had the ability to juggle all of her talents. Dancing, writing, and singing encompass Miss Jillian’s life. She teaches tap, jazz, and hip hop and plans to bring ethical and talented educators on board to enhance the students’ experience and knowledge. She has announced the opening of The Dance Domain & Performing Arts Center where she plans to make a positive impact on everyone she encounters. In the end, it is about the children and the betterment of their future.
